Our property manager, Sharyn, has been awesome. The inspection was great, she was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and happily showed us around. Application was responded to promptly and any maintenance we have had has been dealt with quickly and by professional tradies who do a great job. Very very happy.
I've been to an average of 6 OFIs each week for the past two months and can honestly say, Damien is a cut above the rest of the property managers out there!! While the property that we were inspecting wasn't for us, I noted my frustration with the rental market. Damien grabbed his listings, pointed out one that met my criteria and offered to meet me at an alternative time to what was listed for the OFI (I wasn't able to make the time listed online). Property Managers are often spread thin and with such a saturated market there's no need to chase would-be renters. We managed to secure a property this past weekend, but it was very kind of Damien to go out of his way to try and help us. I just wanted to thank him,
If I could give 0 stars I would. I would recommend anyone who has any issues with them such as we did to directly contact the directors of the company (as found on their website) as they seem like the only competent people on their staff and can get things done. We were owed money, waited over a month for a rental transfer and were told numerous lies until we contacted the directors who got action within the hour.Agreed that with another comment that the first agent we had was lovely. Then she left, and it was downhill quickly from there.
Aside from misplacing forms and never doing a thing about the numerous issues at the rat infested house we lived in (which they initially said they would be happy to address), our agent seemed to actively try to mislead us in regards to our rights as tenants, by refusing requests to contact the landlord about issues we specifically needed the landlord's permission to resolve and denying us the right to a tenancy transfer (they said they weren't sure what a tenancy transfer was; it is exactly what they were denying us). After I stated our rights clearly, directly requested to speak to the landlord and questioned the fairness of their actions they simply didn't respond to my email. With that said, the first agent we had for a short time was generally nice and accommodating.
